Ashdale House is a registered care Home for ten
adults (aged between 18-65) with learning
disabilities and with a range of autistic spectrum
disorders and levels of challenging behaviour. The
home is situated at Silverdale Road, Eastbourne. The
Philosophy of Ashdale House is to support each
individual in his or her home and local community to
attain a level of independence that is appropriate
and safe. In-house programmes concentrate on living
skills and those residents who are able are
encouraged to forge appropriate social and leisure
networks

All programmes and staff guidelines are designed
to acknowledge the specific difficulties each
resident may have in the areas outlined by the
triad of impairments, and coping strategies are
taught.
the house is a detached Victorian building, that
has been adapted and modernised, and is directly
off the sea front promenade of the seaside town
of Eastbourne.
The service is operational 52 weeks a year, and
is owned by the Allied Care group under the name
of Alliance Home Care (Learning Disabilities)
Ltd. And is registered and inspected by
the East Sussex National Care Standards
